TalkTalk 9 months discounts on broadband packages

TalkTalk the British Telecom operator with 4,043,000 broadband subscribers offers 50% discount for 9 months on its entry level broadband package. The new pricing policy aims to increase the customer base in the first stage and consequently upgrade basic package customers to higher end. TalkTalk standalone customers are currently 16% of total broadband subscribers while double play and triple play subscribers are 78% and 6% respectively. TalkTalk recently launched Mobile service as an MVNO and fibre optic services to avoid or minimise the customers’ churn rate and increase the ARPU. At the end of the third quarter 2012 the total number of mobile customers was 117,000 and fibre optic customers numbers increased to 30,000. The company claims that the number of mobile and fibre optic customers are increasing at a consistent rate. Some examples of broadband tariffs are given in the table below
