Deutsche Telekom the German incumbent with over 12,400,000 broadband subscribers and 44% market share has slashed its € 99 DSL connection fee and increased the spped of its VDSL packages to 50Mbps

Deutsche Telekom the German incumbent with over 12,400,000 broadband subscribers and 44% market share has slashed its € 99 DSL connection fee. The operator also increased the speed of its flagship VDSL package "Call& surf Comfort VDSL from 16Mbps to 50Mbps at no extra cost. The new pricing policy introduced by the giant operator will put pressure on the alternative operators in Germany to review their broadband tariffs. Some examples of the broadband tariffs are given in the table below:
